Mid winter swimmers

The yacht club mid-winter swim is on the last day of the winter series race. It co-incides with our prize giving.

For some reason a couple of years ago we dedided to make it a club annual tradition. For some reason most people don’t seem too keen to partake – myself included. When I did it the first time there was snow on the hills. I had my life jacket and thermals on and could barely make it to the ladder to get out, while the hardy men bravely swam to the boat ramp.

With a bit of peer pressure and in true Wildwood crew form, many of the boys did it again this year. Ken even swam twice! Sadly they have all got colds this week.
